Critical thinking and innovation are at the heart of the student-centered Multimedia Arts (MMA) program, which seeks to hone creative and innovative multimedia practitioners, proficient in the necessary digital arts skills and confident in the practice of innovation. Provided with the most useful and practical lessons for a future in the digital creative industries, students are prepared to build digital arts projects holistically, starting from the task of conceptualization to actual execution and exhibition. With faculty members who are also industry practitioners, students gain real-world advice and functional skills towards using their multimedia work for the needs of the bigger society, highlighting the value of creative work that is contemporary and relevant.

The School of New Media Arts envisions its academic programs to be the vanguards in creating digital content relevant to the people and society. Guided by prominent faculty, and industry mentors, and supported by the most up-to-date equipment, software tools, and technology in the College, the students experience innovative curricular approaches that enable them to create and explore the field through various media applications and platforms.
Because of the advent of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, there is an increasing demand for technical experts and digital media content creators within most professional industries. And the SNMA Programs are equipped in responding to the rapid expansion and growth of interactive design, animation, film, photography, graphic design, and web design, as they cross various intersections of emerging technologies in art and design.
The School of New Media Arts is projected to become a major player and staple source of highly-skilled creatives. Its graduates are expected to take the lead in creatively responding to the needs and demands of the vast and fertile new media landscape.
Medium and techniques in the School of New Media Arts are categorically unique as they are constantly changing and evolving at an unprecedented pace.
As they continue to enhance and establish discipline in the fields of animation, film, photography, graphic design, and web design, they cross various intersections of emerging technologies in media arts, interactive design, moving, and sound design, to name a few.
Collaboration and engagement among SNMA Programs can foster substantive collaborations to further enhance the curricula, students’ experiences and exposure, relevant partnerships and linkages, and possible job placements and work opportunities.
SNMA programs are supplemented by various co-curricular and extra-curricular activities where students are encouraged to join. These activities are designed to let the students experience real-world application of their learnings in their programs.
The Design + Arts Campus, a 14-storey academic complex, is one big playground for creative minds and a venue that stimulates students to think out of the box, shift perspectives, and innovate ideas.
